Barb Willard

Barb Willard is Canadian born with ties to Pitlochry Scotland and Cardiff , Wales. She has been involved with music from an early age with piano and accordian.

Barb had the honor of playing with the Haileybury Legion Pipe and Drum Corp in Ontario Canada. One of her greatest learning experiences was at the Sandy Jones North American Academy of Piping and Drumming in North Carolina.

Barb received her R.N from the Ottawa School of Nursing in Canada and a Paralegal Degree from Sullivan University in Lexington. She enjoys golf, piping and travelling.

Barb lists her goals as: "be the best piper I can, continue to learn and compete, contribute to and be an asset to KUPD, and to be involved with and participate with groups of pipers from all over." She sums it up by saying, "What a merry group of folks"

Barb is married to Norm who has been a great sport and supporter through this learning process. There are three children, Tim, Terry and Jennifer, who still find it hard to believe Mom is pursuing this interest in piping with such passion.
