Courtney Thomerson

Courtney started playing pipes three years ago at the age of eleven. She became interested in the pipes by listening to Lou Armstrong, a family friend who played with the Louisville Pipe Band. Courtney began under the direction of Malcolm B. McGregor and the William Sutherland Ried Pipes & Drums. Since then, she has attended the Balmoral school and takes private lessons with Pipe Major, Will Young.

Courtney is an avid soccer player. She is the goalie for the State runner-up LFC U-15 Premier team. She was chosen Top Goalie at the 2004 University of Indiana soccer camp.

She is on the all A honor roll in school and will be attending Lexington Catholic High School as a freshman in August 2005.

Courtney has her own fan club which includes her dad Jim, mom Robin, and sister Mary Kate.
