Jennifer Guthrie

Jennifer began piping in 1998 with her family pipe band in Seattle, Washington where she is from. Her family Pipe Band "Clan Guthrie Pipe and Drum Band" is made up of 3 generations of family members who are all distinguished pipers, drummers and dancers. Jennifer was sorry to leave her family band, but is thrilled to have found another family in Kentucky United Pipes & Drums.

Playing mostly family functions and funerals, Jennifer says that her greatest experience in piping was to be able to travel to Scotland in 2004 to pipe with a Guthrie cousin at Guthrie Castle in Forfar and at Culzean Castle in Ayrshire County.
