Maria (Polenzani)Roberts

Maria is a Lieutenant firefighter/paramedic with the Lexington Fire Department, Lexington, Kentucky. Growing up in a musical family, Maria learned a multitude of instruments and sang in numerous choirs throughout her youth.

In 2001 she combined her lifelong love of music with her love for the traditions of the fire service and set her sights on the Highland Bagpipes.

Maria has been a member of the William Sutherland Reid Pipes and Drums in Lexington, KY, performed for Princess Anne, and participated in the openning ceremonies of many fire service events throughout the state.

Maria married Jerry Roberts in August 2006 and they welcomed their son, Daniel Roberts on June 16, 2007.
