
Tom played in elementary, high school and college bands. While at Morehead State, he was in the snare drum line in marching band and performed in Morehead’s percussion ensamble.
Since then he has played in numerous local dance bands…and continues to do so.
Tom’s fascination for Scottish pipe band music became evident when he joined The Lexington Pipe Band in 1989, where he later became Drum Sergeant.
His desire to take the art of Scottish drumming to a higher level became a reality when he was given the opportunity to join Kentucky United Pipes & Drums.
Tom enjoys the challenge of Scottish drumming, as it has made him a better over all player. His favorite musical rush is playing in a tight, well-honed ensemble.
Tom and wife Judy have three daughters and reside in Lexington.
